"Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?"
This is the “Thomas Wayne Murdered” Newspaper Prop Broadsheet Page Reproduction, from the 1989 Batman, starring Michael Keaton. Printed on real newspaper!
This is an opportunity to FINALLY own a full-size broadsheet, film-accurate reproduction of the “Thomas Wayne Murdered” newspaper page from 1989 Batman. This is another of the "Holy Grails" of Prop Newspapers. This, of course, is from the scene of Bruce reminiscing in the Batcave from the 89 film.
Why? I wanted to create an affordable replica of the 1989 Batman Newspapers for us '89 fans, without having to pay thousands for screen-used items.
This was a labor-intensive work to create, from hand-making the non-existing headline typeface, to the painstaking recreation of the paper itself from available images, movie stills, photos of the real props, to make this an absolutely faithful recreation of the "Thomas Wayne Murdered Newspaper".
I have seen other film newspaper props go for hundreds of dollars at prop auctions, but now you can get the “Thomas Wayne Murdered” newspaper reproduction for a fraction of the cost of an actual screen-used prop.
• Screen accurate based on existing photographic evidence
• Huge tabloid size, to be movie size accurate
• Printed on Newsprint for accuracy, and folded
• Ready to be framed and displayed
• (350mm/13.8” x 500mm/19.6) 1 full sheet, folded, printed front & back
• No other reproductions of this newspaper exist. 100% unique & exclusive
• Own a piece of Batman history for a fraction of the cost
• Limited newspaper print run
This is a high-quality, printed on real newsprint, large, 1 page, Full-Sized Broadsheet (350mm/13.8” x 500mm/19.6") replica, and was the result of many hours of work recreating this newspaper to look exactly as it is seen in the film.
As a huge 89 Keaton fan, this project was indeed a labor of love. This was the result of many hours of work, recreating the pages with precise page reconstruction, font matching, and graphic design using the best images and reference available. Then printed on broadsheet newsprint, to authentically recreate the movie prop.
We all know that newspaper movie props are often ridiculously expensive due to their limited creation and that they often never survive after filming. This particular newspaper, another " 1989 ‘Holy Grail” of newspaper props, has never been as accurately reproduced, until now. (as far as I know) This will look great in a frame, and be a great addition to any Batcave!
IMPORTANT: PLEASE NOTE:
This is a fan-produced, reproduction of the 1989 “Thomas Wayne Murdered” newspaper. This is NOT a screen-used item, and in no way portrays itself to be that.
I make absolutely no claim to be associated with DC Comics. All characters are copyright of DC Comics.
As this replica is printed on a real newspaper, just like the original props, I would recommend keeping this out of direct sunlight, as yellowing may occur, as with any real newspaper.
